Does anyone have any advice? I literally made this reddit account just for this, I've been so frustrated because Moderate AI is no challenge at all and Hard AI is so hard it feels like it's cheating. I've been trying everything and I can't kill a fraction of their army with the small defense I have by feudal age. And I have no idea what counters skirmishers. I try to build skirmishers to counter archers, but they get killed instantly. I don't understand how it's possible to have an economy and that many units so early in the game, my town center is literally always producing villagers or leveling up, and yet the AI is always able to overwhelm me with an army of archers or skirmishers. I've tried watching AOE2 youtube videos and I've learned a lot, like luring boars and never keeping my town center idle, but the AI always rushes me with what looks like an army of 30 units just as feudal age starts. I've played at least a dozen matches against hard AI and I cannot find a single weak point of this godlike AI. I got definitive edition a couple of weeks ago, and I am having a lot of trouble beating Hard AI.
